I've been feeling nostalgic lately. It started when I came across this
picture of a pale yellow 2CV—my first car.. It had the horsepower of a determined lawnmower.
It was hilariously fun to drive. With the gear shift on the dash, it bouned along like a happy goat, and when you wanted fresh air you didn’t roll the windows down—you flipped the front windows up like little wings.
I loved that car.


If your idea of a beach is miles of soft sand and warm azure water, then the beach at Mers-les-Bains is probably not for you,
As a kid we had méduse (jelly sandals) that were such an affront to fashion that we prefered to go barefoot on the hard rocks.
Today, I'm wondering where I can get a pair.
